How it all started

Making a difference

123 help4family's was originally set up as a Christmas appeal as we seen a lot of family's on low income jobs and where struggling, so we decided we would cover everything so they had no worries or stress. We decided we would give the Christmas dinner with all trimmings, a treat box, gifts for all the family including kids and mam and dad, we also filled the cupboards with tins and long life food. This was very personal to us. Now we offer so much more from help, to food also furniture as our sponsor is our business 123clearance and they donate all the furniture plus lots more. We are based in crook area and cover our region.

Who is 123 help4family's and why

123 help4family's was set up by Shaun Emerson and his godmother Linda Mears. We see many charity's out there but they where all mostly for themselves and taking big wages etc so we decided enough was enough we set up our own and we will help direct to source and on a personal level. We don't take any wages and 100% of all donations go directly to the people who need it.

We will never take a wage as the meaning of charity is exactly that.

It breaks our hearts seeing what we see in this day and age with working parents not knowing where there at or where there next meal comes from and allot of parents are working 2 jobs and not eating themselves to try there best to feed their kids.

Then there is the abusive side of things With children and domestic abuse so we help and support the children's safe guarding team in co Durham with any kind of support they need from food to furniture etc.

we could go on and on and this could all be fixed very easily if all charities actually worked as a charity and give everything back to the people that need it instead of taking huge wages and administering costs.

Shaun has been involved in rehoming ex military vets and domestic abuse victims and also children for over 10 years now before setting up this CIC charity as he owns a clearance business So has allot of excess furniture etc so it was a perfect thing to add. Linda also has done a lot over many years for all types of charities and doing appeals when there is natural disasters to local charitie events.

As much as we would desperately love to help every single person we know this is not possible as we are just a tiny fish in the huge ocean of charities but believe us we will give it our best.

Our Vision

Anything Is Possible

Our Vision is very simple, we want to help as many vulnerable and struggling people as we possibly can. We want them to know there is still good out there and people who care, we want them to have that feeling that they are someone and will bounce back and hopefully when they get back on there feet they will help others who are in need. Also for the Christmas appeal no child should wake up without a gift and no parent should be crying on Christmas Eve about not having a Christmas lunch or gifts for there family.

123 help4family's was originally set up for low paid working family's. We seen this as our priority as the family's where forgotten about and left behind and with all the huge price increases on all bills and food these family's are really struggling. We can also help people who have been on benefits from loss of job or illnesses, family's who have someone in there family who has an illness. We can also help elderly. Also ex military we can help with furniture rehoming and work closely with changing steps North East which is an ex military charity. We can also help with furnishing if you have lost everything in a fire or no fault of your own.

Christmas appeal

You Can Make a Difference

Last year was our first year we set up this Christmas appeal and it was a huge success, I know success doesn't match or sound right but it was a success in the way we manged to help so many people who otherwise wouldn't of been able to have a Christmas. we managed to help 100s of children and adults but for more information please check our Facebook page for all the details.
With our Christmas appeal.
We are very different to most charities or cic groups as we try and give every family everything they need for Christmas including, Christmas dinner, gifts for all the children and adults, treat bag, extra food for couboards to see them threw the holiday season. We know this year is catastrophic to many many familys and we know this task is huge and maybe impossible but we cant just sit back and watch so we will give it our best go.
We also support the children safe guarding team and provide them with as much help as they need for there most vulnerable family's.
To help us continue this huge mission and if you would like to donate please contact us via the page or facebook and we can give you all the information and details needed.
We are greatfull for anything as it all adds up and it all makes a huge difference.

This year December 2022 we managed to help 590 people enjoy Christmas this was double from 2021. On top of this we handed out 100s of gifts and emergency food parcels. So in total managed to help around 900 people this Christmas and of we add up all the people we have helped through the year its over 2500 so we may be small charity cic but we are making a difference but we can't do it without all your help and support.
